Perfect location: less than 30 minutes from the airport, a nice 25 minute walk to the center of Bridgetown, and located right on the beach. The reception literally opens on the beach, and you see the crystal blue water as you check in. The staff is incredible. Everyone is very nice: from receptionists, to restaurant servers, and a special shout out to the fantastic concierge, Ishonia, who went above and beyond to secure a last minute catamaran cruise for me. There are beach beds and towels available free of charge, and there are a few beach clubs/bars located only a few steps away if you want to drink and chill watching the sunset. Spacious room and bathroom, excellent housekeeping services with fresh towels and daily cleaning, as well as a daily refill of two water bottles. Great breakfast and good food at the on site restaurant, just a little pricey with limited choices. Such a gem! Hope to be back soon!

Amazing location right on the perfect beach. Next door to a shop that hires out surfboards, paddleboards etc. Concierge to help you book things. Easy walking distance (including with small children in the heat) to the museum of Barbados (excellent) and the George Washington House (charming, great cafe). Bus stop at the end of the road for buses (regular, tickets 3.50 Barbados dollars) to almost everywhere. Lovely small pools, ideal for the children and I also enjoyed swimming there when I wasn’t in the sea! Locals very kind and helpful and everywhere is safe. Don’t be afraid to take the bus, even with children (they are free and can sit on your lap). Free sun loungers and umberellas.

Location is great. We booked a King room which is great as it is in a separate block from the main hotel rooms so much more intimate with a great pool and sea view. Also we received a complimentary rum punch on arrival which was a nice touch. It was our wedding anniversary and on arrival to our room there was a bottle of wine. With a card and a lovely fruit and cheese platter. Buffet style breakfast was nice with a wide range of food to choose from, and an omelette station is available and the chef will cook your eggs to order.

Other reviews about this hotel are not in line with my experience. Yes this hotel needs TLC and upgrading... this is an older hotel that owners should invest in refurbishing and updating basic features. However, it is still a clean comfortable property, staff are extremely helpful and engaging (when you engage them with respect and a smile). The king corner room is right over the beach with a very nice balcony where you can actually hear the waves hitting the beach.

A highlight was a dozen horses from the Garrison coming for a swim in the early morning. The food at the hotel restaurant was good, although the breakfast seemed expensive and to order from the a la carte options, whilst cheaper and delicious, took a duration to arrive.
